Promotes hair growth
According to researchers the compound called eugenol which is found in cloves helps promote hair growth when applied to the roots. It can also repair, strengthen and add a healthy shine to the hair shaft when applied regularly.
Treats dandruff
Dandruff is a major cause of weak and thin hair. Some ladies have decided to go on a low cut just to treat this embarrassing scalp problem. The anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties of clove will do the magic. This helps to fight the dandruff and prevents the itchy sensation.
Add shine to you hair
When your curls lose moisture, they appear dry, brittle and lifeless. Clove oil delivers deep conditioning to your rough strands, adding gloss and shine to dull hair. This oil also helps reduce the chances of hair damage.
Prevents premature greying
In the olden days hardly will you see someone in his thirties having few grey hairs. But nowadays noticing a few grey strands in your thirties is ok. Nevertheless, if you have more grey hair than black, then there is a need to address it. In fact, people in their late 20s have also started experiencing premature hair greying. Clove contains some essential elements that aids in production of pigments responsible for keeping hair in its natural colour..
There are different ways you can prepare cloves, but for the purpose of this post we are going to look at 2 methods namely clove water and clove oil.
To make clove water
Blend 1 full table spoon of clove, I prefer to blend my clove because it will help in extractions of the properties.
Put it in a jar and add 1 glass cup of water
Soak it for 24 to 48 hours by this time the color of the water has changed showing that the properties have well infused in the water.
Then apply on washed scalp and hair shaft. Ensure to apply oil afterwards.
For the clove oil
After blending soak in your preferred oil (coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil etc.)
Leave it for about 1 week for the properties to infuse well in the oil
